Controller

AIento is operated by João Diogo, Berlin, Germany. Email jd@aiento.eu. Full postal details are in the Imprint.

What the contact form collects and why

The contact form collects your name, your email address and the message you write. It is used to answer your enquiry and, if it turns into work, to run that engagement. Nothing collected here is sold, and none of it feeds a newsletter you did not ask for.

HubSpot processing and cookies

Enquiries and site analytics run through HubSpot, which acts as a processor under a data processing agreement. Data is held on HubSpot EU infrastructure, with HubSpot Inc. in the United States as a sub-processor under the EU standard contractual clauses. HubSpot sets these cookies: __hstc and hubspotutk identify a returning visitor and last 180 days, __hssc tracks the current session and lasts 30 minutes, and __hssrc records whether the browser was restarted and lasts for the session. These are analytics cookies and are set only once you accept them.

Retention

Enquiry data is kept for 24 months after our last contact and then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a paid engagement, the records that tax and commercial law require are kept for the statutory period, which in Germany runs up to ten years. You can ask for deletion sooner and it will be actioned unless a retention duty applies.

Legal basis

Answering an enquiry and taking pre-contractual steps rests on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Keeping the site secure and running the business relationship rests on the legitimate interest in Art. 6(1)(f). Analytics cookies rest on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG, which you can withdraw at any time. Statutory retention rests on Art. 6(1)(c).

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Write to jd@aiento.eu and you will get an answer within one month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority; for Berlin that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
