Paper name badges with an NFC tag on the back. One tap and you both have the other's name, company and LinkedIn, with no app to install.

Use it at your event

Meet someone. Their badge has the same tag as yours.
Hold the back of your phone on their badge for a second.
You both get each other. Nothing to type, nothing to send.

One tap fills two lists.

Claim a badge at the door. Tap it and pick your name from the guest list, and your company and LinkedIn fill themselves in, which takes about thirty seconds once for the whole evening.
Tap someone else's badge. Their card opens on your phone with their LinkedIn one press away, and you land on each other's list.
Take the list home. The next morning you have everyone you met with their links, as a spreadsheet or straight in your phone contacts.

A meetup of around 30 people run by its own hosts, where I went as a guest, brought 40 badges in my bag and asked nobody to install anything or hand over an email address.

Problem. The useful part of a meetup is the people, and most of them are lost by the next morning. Scanning each other's LinkedIn QR code takes long enough that people stop after the first few conversations, and a handwritten badge gives you a first name and nothing to follow up with.

Built. Numbered paper badges, 80 by 50 mm, printed on a normal printer, each with an NFC sticker and a small QR code as a fallback. The guest list comes from the event's Luma page, so checking in is picking your own name. A host board shows who holds which badge and lets the host free a badge if someone leaves early.

No app or account, and no email addresses stored. Guests choose what their card shows, can delete it at any time, and everything is deleted 30 days after the event.
